Periodic Products Awarded Canadian Patent for Plastics and Fibers

Periodic Products Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a patent from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. The new patent, no. 2,764,893, is for the Company’s chelation technology, including its proprietary plastics, fibers and related processes.

The Canadian patent further extends the Company’s portfolio of domestic and international patents for its family of polymers.

Periodic Products Awarded Canadian Patent for Chelation Technology and Related Applications

Periodic Products Inc. today announced that the Company has been awarded a patent from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. The Patent, No. 2,645,283, is for the Company’s chelation technology, including its proprietary polymers, plastics and fibers applications, and related processes.

“This patent allows Periodic Products to explore new opportunities for rare earth metal recovery,” said Joseph Laurino, PhD, President and CEO of Periodic Products. “Canada has a significant rare earth metal mining and processing industry. We are excited about applying our specialized polymer technology in this market.”

The Company now holds 19 international patents for its family of polymers.
